Here we go again. took the cats out to play today and within 20 minutes the brand new one will not run anymore. has compression, spark is ok and tank is full. spent the morning doing what should not have to be done( assembling it right and completely) ran it around the back yard and was satisfied it was ready to go play. Off to the track I went.

It played for a short amount of time then started to shut down like it was out of gas. put in a new battery just in case the power was low enough to set off the kill switch. ran for a couple minutes and then poof it bogged out and will not restart. Needless to say a couple of cats will probably show up on the for sale side in a couple of days. I need to be able to run for more than a couple minutes each time and these just don't supply that. it takes me 40 minutes just to drive to the track. anyways I am done.

run it til it quits...walk up to it and open the fuel tank...if you hear a sucking sound its not venting properly

Wont start. took lid off and tried to start it and still wont start. Not too worried about it. almost have the for sale add put together. thanks for your help.

Got to be not getting fuel, it may sound simple but is the choke open?? How about the fuel lines are they clear and moving fuel?? Clunk fall off inside the tank?? Carb stopped up??

Got it started this morning. put a new plug in it blew out the fuel lines(clunk was attached) checked the choke for proper operation. all things checked out. don't know why it would not start yesterday at this point. Wife told me to wait a week(cool down) before deciding whether to sell or not.

I Had The Same Issue With My Km.it Would Run Great For A About 10-15 Mins And Just Die.i Thought I Had A Bad Kill Switch But, It Turned Out To Be A Tuning Issue On The Lsn. It Happened After Break-in. Had To Lean It Out A Bit And It Ran Perfect. Have Not Had To Touch It Since

Oh Yeah One More Thing I Found Out. On My Km I Just Run The Stock 29cc Cy Clone Motor. I Tryed To Run It On 92 Octane And It Would Die After It Was Hot. Mixed Up Some Fresh 87 And It Was Good To Go. I Assume The Comp Is Not High Enough To Need High Octane.

I cant speak for KY (?) or HY as my exp. is with cy but some of the things that drove me nuts were: slightly blown head gasket, tank vent, carb settings not set correctly, dirty plugged air filter, and a low needle that would slowly back itselt out. I hardly ever mess with mine after I tore it down (like you said) and put it together with loctite and checked over everything and I bulletproofed it to my specs. Now I only tear it apart to hop it up.

km = king motor. looks the same as a cy

I am not sure what motor it is. don't really care as long as it runs and drives. It is back running after farting around with it a bit. I don't particularly think this thing likes me. ran it for a bit, brought it in for fuel, went to restart it and the pull starter rope came out. It was shredded like the flywheel got a hold of it. I bit my tongue and put a new rope in and parked it. I also found the breather hole was almost non existant in the gas cap. fixed that with a 1/16 drill bit.

Woosahh...sometimes I Wanna Throw My Rcs At A Wall, esp When They Are New And I Have Bugs To Work Out. You Did The Right Thing By Parking It

I can always get em goin once the smoke clears and I calm down a bit. These are probably the least technical thing I have worked on. but when frustrated its pretty tough to think straight so I just walk away and grab a popsicle and some shade:cool:
