dyable control arms

what up all,
is anyone familiar with dying the dyable control arms? if so, what's the method and the material used. looking to change the colors of my a-arms to match my theme.
 
tintex or ritt fabric dye. boil a pot on the stove, dump dye in, turn off the heat, drop parts in and cover with a lid. the longer you leave the part the deeper the color. 2 boxes of dye in a pot will do 4 wheels and a wing nicely. most dollar stores carry tintex (where I buy mine)

just be careful of air bubbles as the part won't dye where the air is. good idea to stir the pot half way through or even flip the parts. parts that sit on each other might not take the dye as well where they touch

cheers man, I dye a lot of stuff. I am an auto detailer and do work on custom rods for a local shop. I've dyed many seatbelts and things like that the same way. don't cheap out is all. get more dye than you need. if it costs a buck who cares.
