Question. Are the engine dynos that are used on our hobby motors -- how do i word the question-- Is there an industry standard?- certified? I have seen lots of power claims- torque-horsepower- OBR seems to be the only one out there that shows the charts- This will open a can o worms- If there is no industry standard- a dyno that all the builders dynos are set to- calabrated to, who can we believe? Many common things are required to be tested and calabrated - Torque wrenches- all the gasoline pumps for our cars trucks-- No i an not ragging on OBR or any one else- I applaud OBR for showing the numbers- -- ---. I am simply sayin ---???

They all use a dyno to say they have the best. Perhaps if there where a standard some of them would be out of business.

I was just thinking of hooking my RC to 5 horses for a tug of war and see how it does.

LOL JK!

There will be a report coming out soon by a guy who tested all sorts of pipes and engines. He is just a hobbyist and doesn;t work for any of hte shops.

That will be very interesting. That will start some serious debating by the engine and pipe builders. I look forward to seeing his results.

Exactly! If they make these high HP claims, they need to be able to back them up, accurately.

That's awesome. Curious to see how all of these engines stack up.

That is good news. And it long overdue too. I see all these really high horsepower claims. question is, at what -or how narrow of an rpm range? There was some full size racer builder- Carrol Shelby? He once said- Horsepower sells cars, torque wins races.

Gotta say, I have bills to pay. 4-5-6+hundred dollar engines are just out of my reach. I assemble engines from pull off parts-top ends. So far the one that clicks best for me is the CY 29. 990, .75 stack jet pro end bleed. It pulls hard and revs too- gizmo flywheel also bolted up. My "seat of the pants dyno. "
