ok about 3months ago i bid for front end which included upper & lower arms & bulkhead from ("simons_radio_control_spares" on ebay. I put a max bid of £150 or summit like that but i kept getting outbid! :(

anyway thought nothing of it but in the end it sold for about £200 which seemed a little odd as brand new it costs just £220, anyway i did take note of the winner, although it doesn't give the full name of seller it shows you some of the letters used in there ID.. in this case it was s***a.

Sooo 3 months on.. i was browsing just for FG parts (not to buy anything particular, im just bored lol!) & came across the lexan gear cover for the FG, new there about £15. Anyway there is 1 listed on ebay with an hour left, it was used, tatty & at present the bid was on £10.50 + £3 P&P ...so just short of £15. So i thought to myself "which muppet would pay that when you can buy 1 new for £15! ...so i looked at the sellers name which is simons_radio_control_spares & then looked up the bidders ID, & hey presto, its our friend s***a! When i looked into it further, this guy s***a has 50% bid activity with this seller! which means everything simons_radio_control_spares lists get at least 50% bids from s***a!

Doenst take an einstein to work out that basically this guy s***a is either a second account of simons_radio_control_spares or someone he knows & hes putting false bids in to bump up the bid, which in my opion as bang out of order & against Ebays T&C's. I know its prob almost impossible to prove, but he has 50% of the bid activity with simons_radio_control_spares who has 100's of items listed.

Just to double check, i searched his shop, filtered it for ending soonest & hey presto AGAIN! almost ALL of the items have this s***a guy bidding.

So to put it bluntly, this simons_radio_control_spares aint gettin no more bids from me, he can go scam someone else & i may even report it. Some people are jus f*ktards out to scam, its muppets like these who are ruining ebay.

don't get me wrong, yup, he has a business to run.. so do millions of other people, but he is abusing ebay as a seller & trying to con people into bidding more.

so be warned if you buy summit on ebay from simons_radio_control_spares which is of any value, be prepared to enter a bidwar with yours truly... s***a!!

So what did eBay say when you lodged a formal complaint? Because complaining here won't do diddley squat

well, i aint complaining, my post was a heads up.. no point even trying to complain to ebay, hes a seller paying shop fees into ebay's pockets, who ya think ebay gunna listen to :) ?

bid percentage with seller doesn't always mean much. this is what it says in the question mark beside the big percentage thing

This shows the percentage of all bids from this bidder that went to this specific seller.

what its saying is that persons account has bid that sellers items X percent of his total. keep in mind thats the last 30 day stats. in this case, it just means 50% of the bids the buyer has made in the last 30 days have been on stuff from simon's rc spares.

i have bought a lot from simons rc spares, i know some months id be at 100% from simons rc spares. i also did some looking on some items ive bought in the last 3 months from him, i had the "s****a" bidding on a couple items i bid on as well. i had a lot of other repeat bidders as well. furthermore, i did some looking, some of those buyers have 60% bid activity, others had 20%, 35%.

its not a scam, some people just buy a lot from him, or buy from him the majority of the time. i cant say anything bad about simons rc spares, ive had a couple issues with parts however he has offered full refunds or if i was able to fix stuff myself he offered a partial refund. i cant say ive ever felt he had another account and trying to jack prices up. in that case, why not just set minimums above 0.99?

To be honest, +1 on Sharkey, I think.
I've had a few things from Simon's without problem.
It could be that statistics thing, whereby you can manipulate and read whatever you want from stats ...
Al.

im still not buying it (not literally!) i know there are some not so clever people out there, but why bid on a used part when it costs almost the same, sometimes more! as a brand new part!?

ie: alloy front end / gear carrier, shells, yet this mystery chap gets the winning bid even though he would be losing out lol.

either way, i wont be bidding with him, i may use buy it now if he has summit i need at a decent price, but i aint gunna be bidding with him again ^^

He bought some stuff off me a few years ago when I was having a tidy out of my FG used/plastic junk - TBH stuff I was going to file under B1N. He seemed a decent enough type when he called into the shed of doom, Simon paid a decent amount and bought a car off me too although he did "enquire" about a refund when he stuffed the car into a tree blaming the servos.

one thing i have noticed about buying from him is his p & p prices are way over the top, charged me £12+ once when it only cost £5.50. he did refund the difference but you have to ask.
also won 2 items for 0.99p each then told me he could not find them!!!

this happened to me last week, "i have another for sale"

ok rest my case..

Last night he had a plastic gear protector listed (one i mentioned in my original post) with about 40mins left, it had 7 bidders or summit like that with the highest bidder being the guy i mentioned.

Jus browsing ebay again & guess what... its been relisted for 3 days with a starting bid of 99p & 1 bidder, exactly same pic/item. What a complete nubtard.

Defo gunna steer clear from this guy, he makes comedian's look like amateur's!
