Ups just showed up with my raminator driveshafts.....wacked me for 55 bucks on top of the 55 l paid ebay.....ebay stated at time of payment all taxes and import fees were collected.....total of 255 bucks, then ups tells me he can ship it back or take another 55 bucks......110 dollars for import and shipping on 200 dollars worth of parts. Never ever again will l order anything from ebay or Vitavon. Be careful.......

Yeah. Everything I ordered from cardinal, several ebay purchases and some other online purchases all got hit too.

Good thing UPS will be able to sue for those tariff refunds that I can't get. Triple dipping bullshit.

I would recommend contacting UPS & eBay. While it is possible that the entire $110 was legitimate, it's equally possible that the second $55 "fee" might have been a scam on the part of the UPS driver. Additionally, it's possible that the entire $110 was a scam on the part of that driver. In the future, I might also suggest ordering Vitavon parts directly from their own website: Vitavon Racing

I've seen this type of situation on instagram however I have recently (1 month ago) ordered a few things from Vitavon through ebay and did not have any fees owed or collected by a delivery person. I was only charged what was in my checkout on ebay with the standard shipping per usual.

All of mine came directly from the shipper on my accounts.

Exactly...either that, or the carrier contacts the person prior to delivery. This is why I'm thinking this was a scam on the part of the delivery driver, attempting to "take advantage of" the person receiving the package.

See my reply to XJman.

Maybe. My UPS driver did ask for payment but because I've had a UPS account for ages I just said bill that because it gets paid every month.

I've honestly heard so many different ways its "legally" supposed to go that its impossible to tell if its a scam or reality.

Impossible to tell? Hardly. It's EXTREMELY easy to tell - simply call UPS (or whomever the carrier making the delivery is). They WILL know if there's anything to be collected...and, if they say there is, they will also know the amount. However, if they say "no", or if the amount is different that what the driver is claiming, then that easily PROVES the driver is attempting to scam the recipient.

Do I need to explain the difference between what you just said, and what I said?

You can't tell if they are trying to scam you just by them asking. That tells you nothing.

Ups would not take cash and wrote the check to ups. He is my regular driver and nice young gentleman. I one hundred percent say this is false advertising from ebay. Because l use a prepaid credit card for all my rc purchases, vitavon will not accept it and thier website told me to use the ebay website. The card is a visa and have ordered, for example, my hydraulic baja brake kit, with no surcharge but that was through Amazon whom states all fees included. Ebay states a speed pack shipment includes all import and tariffs fees...... l can only conclude that ebay did not pay the shipping and tariffs. I have contacted them with no response as l suspected would happen. I've ordered parts from taylor rc and had no issues......... they have included all costs at purchase and have gone out of their way to inform us as customers about the import fees or made arrangements to make sure there are no hidden fees. Ebay don't care what they sell or to whom, we are either a consumer when dealing with certain companies or consumed by companies like ebay . And to be clear Vitavon makes awesome parts, l would not hesitate to buy thier products again but unless l can order directly or find a dealer in the states, l won't be making any purchases. Yea, thanks mr trump, great economic plan thier cowboy........ And finally, gentlemen....thank you for your concern and response.... but please my brothers be respectful with each other, we all have an opinion and are free to give them, but part of the system is designed to make us go after one another as a distraction as to whats really going on.....again much respect and thanks to all of you.

Try reading, instead of "skimming over", what I said. I NEVER said to ask the delivering driver...obviously, you can't tell if you ask the driver, as the driver isn't going to admit to scamming. But, if you call the carrier, and ask them if there are any tariffs, or other funds, being collected on that delivery, then you WILL know whether, or not, the driver making the delivery is attempting to scam you. Is that so difficult to understand?

This is listed next to each item description on Vitavon's ebay store. I'm also finding the same statement on other china based vendors.
I have still not been charged or had any attempts/requests to pay additional fees upon delivery. Just ordered an Olimat pipe from Taylor in England. It was here in 5 days with no additional fees either.

Yep, false statement but no response from them....lesson learned and never again. I have found some usa vitavon retailers but they claim to carry anything vitavon but only stock parts for particular rc vehicles and are all out of stock.......

That's bs Mick. Was it Vivaton straight out of China or??? I would prob tell the driver to f off...It would be like paying double the $$$. I will find out real soon. I just ordered some parts from Chimy-Chanka-China so I'll see here in a bit! sorry bout that rant.....lol
