Nice call RCDAD....women say they don't get why u need so many of something.then why does my wife have so many purses and shoes????sunday i walked in with a box with a new brushless 1/10 scale sc truck.first question what did u buy now.then i told her its dor oir youngest sons birthday and then her face got happy and she got pleasent again.if its for the kids its ok but when its for me ...haha...u get the point.between all the scales of rc's i only got 15 is that so many????.....lol....
 
I was at the LHS on the way home when a guy from a pawn shop brought in a FG Large Scale Formula 1 car to get appraised. Crazy nice, you could tell it had hardly been run, but had been sitting for years. Someone bought it in Europe, had a 40 Mhz RX. Could of had it for $300, but what the H*** would I do with it. Nowhere to run around here. I'd bet that thing could do at least 70 with the belt drive tranny and what looked to be a 23cc engine.

I think it'll be on eBay soon.
 
Got a bid in on a 5b. I've resisted bidding for over 7 years, but...

If I win, that will give me two buggy's to take to Duneoctfeast! Double the buggy's, double the fun!

And after 30+ years, the better half understands. Pretty good karma there.

Good luck! It's nice to have different platforms. For me it makes me appreciate them for what they are.

I only got 4 rcs and my gf always says y u got so many u can only use one at a time I tell her its like women u don't wanna play with the same one all the time lol

i can't stand when people just bid on something i'm trying to buy. all they do is bump the price up. when i see something i watch it, keep an eye on the bid increases & if it stays w/in my range i set my timer to where it goes off 5 minutes before the auction ends & snipe that sucker w/less than 30 seconds (so i have time to raise my max bid if i so desire). bidding wars are for high rollers & losers. lol
 
A lot of the time you may be bidding against the owner. It is cheaper to sell on ebay auction style. If it is selling with no reserve, the owner may make bids on it to get the price up where he needs it. I've never been a fan of the auction style adds. I like the no BS, buy it now button. :)
 
Yeah, when I looked at the bid history it was oblivious where the owner drove up the bids. I started bidding after 3 or 4 other bidders got in. Quit after one guy started jumping bids by too much. I want a 5b, but there's a limit on a used one.

Also, I'm still leaning towards a 5b custom runner from OBR. I have the engine and pipe, receivers and servos aren't that much. But, with MY custom paint design, plus the fact I sure couldn't build a 5b SS buggy with all that OBR puts on for the same cost, pretty good bet which way I'll go. Merry Christmas to me!
