hey guys

got the ecu soldered on perfectly nice working awesom changed the maps ect, i soldered it onto the igniton coil connectors from the superbee grey cable! but didnt connect it upto the receiver or the actual superbee itself.
so the ecu and engine run beautifully i was super pleased. yesterday i connected everything together so connected the superbee to the grey wire to the igniton lead. fired up the engine, the engine revved very very high for about a second ECU came on but then both went off!!!

since then the ECU has not worked at all whenever its connected to the engine it will not work at all, but as soon as i unconnect it the engine fires up fine. i know its not the wiring because i've checked double checked and checked again.

update on whats happend, i've tried everything a new killswitch just the button switch igniton coil, tried soldering black to red n red to black and red to red and black to black!!

both times the engine started without the ecu connected but as soon as i connected the ecu to the ecu wire the engine just would not start nothing happens at all.

the ecu worked utterly perfect instantly as i said before i connected it to the superbee now its just as dead as a do do i don't understand whats happening :(

tried it on both my cars to with a new ignition coil, new spark plug everything and still nothing.

Not very helpful I know, but I would give the same full story to the manufacturer of the ECU, and see if they have any suggestions.
It may well be that something has been fried inside - loverloaded.

hey matey its an oddified mk2 ECU never heard of anyone having any problems and ian said its not possible to damage it but somehow it looks as though it is.

ive emailed him just waiting to here back. has anyone else had this problem or the problem of the ecu just basically stopping working.

not many guys on here can afford an ECU :o so i guess no to your question

never revert to paper instructions as a last resort:D

K....

hey guys i have an update which has puplexed me even more i get the engine running and i plug in the ECU and it cuts the engine!!!! it didnt do this before i connected it upto the superbee, so could it be that the superbee software or whatever it has that makes it work, has interfered with the ECU software?

exactly the reason im soo concerned and not so happy because the price they cost and the fact i got one use out of it and now its going wrong. i was so excited to take out the neox today finally got it ready and bang this goes wrong not a happy bunny at the moment. its defo not my soldering or wiring because i've tried it like i said each everyway physically possible and anyway it worked perfect the day before

hey matey i might be writing a bit confused haha, i'm dyslexic so i look back and think ah doesn't make sense.

well originally i soldered the ECU wires to the superbee grey lead and plugged that onto the igition coil but didnt plug it into the actual superbee chip that goes into the receiver. the ecu worked perfectly then like a dream. its when i plugged it in all together it revved up n died.

but ya sorry :) the ecu doesn't work with or without the superbee at all Ive tried it on both my cars it just does the same thing cuts the engine when its running and i plug it in or doesn't let it start if its plugged in when i try start it. at first i thought oo i know ill totally take away the superbee and it'll work but still nothing. soldered it onto a new killswitch i bought spare, just a standard zenoah one that comes with the engine n nout eek

good news guys ECU is fixed its just it was one off the first early MK2 ECU'S ian said a part he used in that sometime failed and this is what had happend. so its been fixed and is on its way back :). As he said the superbee or any killerbee cant damage the ECU at all which i know how would have been possible either. so ya cant wait get the superbee hooked up with the ECU very exciting then get the neox out woop.
