Cross Posting here for visibility as I’m not sure how many folks follow my build thread.
Here’s an interesting one I wasn’t expecting. How did everyone mount their motor?
I have a hobby wing motor that calls for m4x7 screws and while I have plenty of m4 hardware, none of it fits through the plate to mount the motor. do I have to perform major surgery with a dremel to get them to fit or is there a trick?
Edit: if you check out page 81 of the manual (link below) they call for m4x16 which is way too long for this motor. I don’t understand, they are shipping RTR units with Hobbywing motors - how do these issues exist? The supplied screws are way too long for this motor. SMH

Any help is appreciated before I bust out the dremel and try to open these holes a bit. What a shame
Edit 2: I’m sitting here thinking about wtf is going on here. I tried the screws In different holes and none were large enough to accept the width of the fastener. I am BAFFLED by this situation and do not want to dremel quite a bit of material off of this plate. Which also means I’ve got to remove the spur gear and slipper assembly .
