Hey Guys,

Quick question. Just installed the Super Bee Kill switch. :D
question is do I still have to use the KM fail safe box? or can I
eliminate it?

Thanks in advance

This (not a box per se):

Cool. Next time I'm in my rather crowded radio box, I'll remove it to give me more room.

Kill switch ADDS to the failsafe.
Kill switch in case of loss of signal and/or power cuts the engine.

It DOES NOT activate the brakes.

Failsafe in case of loss of signal, but WITH battery power applies brakes and steering how you preset them.

YOU NEED BOTH.

I use a Killer Bee.

If I push the Auxiliary button, it simply cuts the motor.
If I SWITCH OFF the Tx, it cuts (kill switch) and applies full brakes (failsafe).

You're quite right about the kill switch not applying brakes. To my experience the times I've had use of the kill switch due to a servo failure it's been because the throttle servo has fried which render the fail safe inoperable in that sense that the brakes can't be applied.

The only scenario the fail safe would be of use is loss of radio signal (which switching off the radio simulates) or radio interference which I've never encountered. In my opinion it isn't likely to happen with a 2,4GHz radio system either.

If you're racing maybe the use of a failsafe is required, I don't know.

Again, this is my opinion and based on my experiences.

Thanks atom3624 and Johan for your input.

The only reason I was asking was to give me more room in the box. However from what
I am reading it sounds like your need both!! I don't have any experience with these items, and I really rely on the input of this great forum.

Thanks again.
