A bit harsh on Novak.

DO NOT go for HV Maxx 'though, I've blown the motors and the ESC's - then moved onto Castle.

A MMM 2200kV combo will suit, once you've got the extended wheelbase chassis sorted, wide arms, etc.

Whats the "I" word? Intergy?? I will more than likely go for every bit of FLM alloy I can get my grubby little paws on and then some more.
I think I'll go for the LCG chassis and probably this motor.......
http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/...ar_1_8th_Sensored_Brushless_Motor_1900KV.html or this..........
http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/...ar_1_8th_Sensored_Brushless_Motor_2350KV.html

I'd have to go for sensored to stop cogging as it will be converted to a single speed.
looking forward to this....if I ever finish it:lol::lol::lol:

Motor looks good.
Go for 'as decent as you can' speed controller as well.
I'm still on 2-speed, but with modified gears - still works fine. No real need with BL pickup being pretty instantaneous.

I do like the Flextek arms I have on mine - springy titanium - but apparently no longer available.

Bulkheads and diffs wear with high power installations .... you'll suss it out I'm sure.

The slipper's a pain, and mine's more-or-less locked as my motor's power is ridiculous!!
(Much better now through the XL2 Castle ESC on 6S.)

Check out Dan's offers on the Kershaw Designs site.
Some - on this forum as well - say they've had a few problems, but I've had none at all.

Al.

Here's a thought ...

Why not keep it bog standard - its not a bad truck as it is!!

I know, I can't do that either!!

If you don't mind me pumping ideas, if you're going to up the power, you'll defo need to look at:
1. Diffs.
2. Bulkheads.
3. Driveshafts.
4. Slipper.
5. Gearbox.
They're all at their limit with the standard kit.

I like these:
http://neweramodels.mybigcommerce.c...-billet-aluminum-and-include-larger-bearings/
Problem is they've been saying unavailable for ages!!
Don't know what the problem with New Era is. Perhaps want a certain minimum number of orders before they build the next lot?
Mine is running wide arms, Revo shiny CVD's and I actually think I still have a fair amount of that 'I' word on it!!
Titanium bumpers, skids, arms (Flextek for them, so they're brill).
DON'T get 'I' CVD's, mine snapped immediately!!
The shiny Traxxas ones are still fine despite putting silly power through them.

More than likely.................

And probably FLM arms......but things will probably change.

8 spider is spot on, but have you seen the price? .......
Keep us posted.
It's been one of THE most 'modifiable' trucks for years.

Unfortunately, many of the upgrading parts are in short supply nowadays, so may be at a premium.

Enjoy.
Al.

Best quality parts ever made for the Maxx series, but .....
Use a 6- or 8- spider diff and you'll have problems with the CVD lengths.

The wide arms E-Maxx 3906 is narrower than the current one ....
The problem was the outdrive cups were shorter .....

I've had all sorts of problems mate!!

Check out Billtrucks on ebay.com - he often has quite a lot of decent stuff, including UE Maxx merchandise.

Just type 'Supermaxx' into the Search, then select toys, RC, or whatever the option is .... you'll find him.

He had a set of UE CVD's a few months back I was eyeing up, but when measured the dimensions were too small.

I like the built in hexes, etc. - loads of great ideas.

The shock mounts are the best there are.

Al.

Proline Powerstroke.

Proline Powerstroke are supposed to be the best shocks for the E-Maxx.
These are now becoming like some of those stupid original Tamiya kits, and people are putting a premium on them now, so Buyer Beware!!

I've actually got an 'I'-product set of shocks, that are great - MSR-8's - all alloy everything - except springs and shafts of course.
Don't leak.
Move freely.
Everything a shock should be.

I'd sell you my MSR-6's as I don't use them, except ....
Reason I don't use them is they leak - O-rings keep on going.

Losi alloy hardened upgrade shocks and caps are great.
Yeah Racing lower cartridges are also great.

Never seems to work with the MSR-6's for some reason!!
