Is there anything you need to do to line these up. I can't get my motor to fit after installing the spacers on the gear plate. I am off about 2mm.

Thanks

thanks for the suggestion.

I tried install the motor first, but then the spacers won't fit between the gear plate and the motor. Also the clutch and clutch bell is scraping somewhat.

When you installed your gearplate did all the screws go in nice and straight? Or did you notice any resistance while tightening the screws for the gearplate?

If your clutchbell is scraping it sounds like the gearplate may be off by a hair.

Sounds like u either have a zen fan housing or a zen clutch housing causing it to be off a few millimeters what kind of motor do you have?

Lightning, all the screws for the gear plate fit good and the drive train there is no binding.

Chevy, You are right on. I am using a zen motor. Thanks for the info. Is there anyway to make it fit?

this afternoon I put back the CY motor and it fits fine

The rampage mounting holes accept cy/hy motor the zen fan housing holes are spaced I think2 mm wider, the zen clutch is also off a few millimeter to solve that you use your zen motor with the cy fan housing and cy clutch.

Chevy and Rampage, thanks for the tips. I appreciate it.

Wish I knew this before I bought this zen motor.

Looking forward to seeing the new Redcat's. Might need to pickup another one.

do you guys know if the the HPI baja also is clutch and fan housing specific. I know the HPI's come standard with CY motors. thanks for the info. you guys are the best.

Im not sure about mmotor fitment in a baja, one thing I do know is I picked up a new fulie motor and it bolted up to my TT purfect.
