Hi,
Managed to fix spark problerm however on the fly wheel there should be two magnetic parts, only one of mine are magnetic?

So the spark is not that great even with a be pull and brand new coil, if I dry over night (spark plug out and air filter out) I starts first time with choke and then turn of choke and it does on me?

Just rebuilt engine so compressions good all new gaskets etc (coil fly wheel gals good, brand new coil, carb on factory settings also was rebuilt)?

Any ideas ? Thanks

Sorry having a real problem understand what you are trying to say in any of your posts. Have you tried spell check? The two magnets are only on one side of the flywheel right next to each other.

Sounding to me you are running way rich or flooding it if you have to pull plug and let dry over night.

Again apologies for spelling starting to proof read as mention in previous test using 6+ and Safari is crap as there's no app.

As for the question on hand he fly wheel has to larger areas adjacent to one another, when I first got the care both was magnetised however only on side is now. So this clearly creates a problerm when generating energy for the coil to run at required voltage for the spark plug to work at its optimum .

Look at the flywheel and you can see the two magnets and they are only on one side. You only want it to spark one time every 360 degrees just before top dead center. If you had magnets in both sides then it would spark twice ever 360 degrees which is not going to work. When I have time I will take a picture to show you but I have to get to work. I am a motorcycle mechanic and machinist for over 44 years. I do a lot of motor building including all machine work.

May I make a suggestion you look on line or get a book and learn how a 2 cycle engine works as if you know how it does it is easier to diagnose problems. All combustion engines are very similar as they all have to have the same things to run as well as do them when needed.

Just to make sure we are on the talking about the same thing as I am not sure. Now on older 4 cycle engines not RC there are some ignitions that would fire both on the power stroke and the exhaust stroke which is called wasted spark system but never seen one on a 2 cycle do to only having two strokes.

Fist picture of the two magnets.

Thanks for the detailed reply learning alot and will look into a book for the basic principles of an 2-stroke engines. As I said when it comes to the electrical side of things that's my department.

See my king motor new Rev fuelie 30.5cc stocks fines fly wheel looks identical to your pictures however the (counter weight side is magnitized) not as much as the other but I've ordered a new one.

Just a quick question with you expertise on engines, what would you recomend for a new engine ? Between £400-600 $500-750 for example OBR or Scott Finley Etc?

Thanks again for you help!!!!

All depends on what type of running you are using it for as what type and so on. As far as brand hard to say as I build all my own motors. Do to my 61 year old eyes and shaking hands I do not do my porting. But I do build or at a longer rod to cranks. There are a few others I recommend to check out like Tim at Gismo motors and Doug at ESP. Do not always be fooled by numbers as a dyno is a good tool but that is all it is. If you make 3 pulls on the same dyno none will be the same. A dyno is only as good as the operator and a good operator knows how to fudge the numbers.
