Engine Break in

I hope I didn't damage my engine. I did half a tank at variable RPM's with a few bursts of full throttle.

as long as you didnt hold full throttle for too long you should be fine, when i did mine, i ran various rpm speeds keeping it speed wise not real fast first half of tank, then a lil higher rpm varying on 2nd half with a few short bursts of full throttle. so far after a couple galls of gas it runs just fine, but i did upgrades in there too, a boostspeedindustries metal longer iso block teflon gaskets, and angled shredstack v stack. had to retune the carb tho more airflow goin in changed it. still have to final tweak the high speed a bit yet, but it hauls butt like it is.

I held it for 2-3 seconds on a few passes. I was in a medium parking lot so I could go too fast for too long.

I'll run a full tank at idle next weekend to make myself feel a little better, then do gradual rpm increases. lol

Engine Break-in Procedure

New engine break-in procedure

1. Take it easy on the engine for the first two tanks

2. Heat cycle twice, run the engine for 20 minutes and let it fully cool down
3. We recommend 91 octane fuel, mixed at 25:1 Our preffered oil is Castor 927
4. Let your engine warm up before driving
5. Try to vary the rpms during breaking.
5. DO NOT HOLD FULL THROTTLE UNTIL THE ENGINE IS COMPLETELY BROKEN IN!!!
7. Do not use octane booster
