Stihl always use Durco for their machines and it's bloody good stuff, not for cylinder heads obviously.

I use Loctite automotive no3 Aviation Gasket sealant, Its a non hardening sealent for engine assembly and its resistant to petrol, oil, water and antifreeze......... its real good sht lol

Hope you've got a big wedge of cash because if it's the stuff I'm thinking of then it ain't cheap.

the stuff i use from my local motor factors is called arbo grey rtv it works up to 650f, and costs £5 a tube, i ve used it on heads exhaust gaskets and never had a problem.

if you can get your hands on avaitation sealant your laughing, best sealant for these motors you can get, like pointed out above it doesn't harden and therefore is the best sealant, same as permatex grey.
