:)So i have installed the 28.5 kit. The problem im have is that when the piston gets close to the top its really hard to turn. i have installed it the proper way i belive. The ring closes at the little pin. the arrow faces the rear. is this a normal thing and i should just run it and let it wear in? Its only near the top that its tough. Help is greatly apreciated.

sounds like the piston is hiting the top of the cylender ,check your clearens with a peice of small souder and measer it with a micromider ,u need 17/to2o thousesns gap.

if the piston actually 'stops' and feels solid, it's hitting the head

if you can still turn it over through the tight spot, it's compression and often a dry cylinder too.

If you think it's hitting, then measure like max1 says, - it can the most likely be corrected with a thicker head gasket.

forgot to mention that if you can turn it over... then fire it up on a fast idle & throw a little castor oil into your gas mix, along with the 2 stroke oil you use.

-use the added castor for just one tank only, then back to your regular mix.

;)
