hey guys, just got my brother's redcat MT las week and mine two weeks ago


one thing i noticed theres not much power on mine maybe becouse it is used don't know!


still don't want to mess with a working engine unless it is to upgrade it!


i allready got a pipe in mind ddm side mount and as for the engine a 28.5cc or 29cc but every kit i see is either 4 bolts or it says hpi baja or whatever, CY engines compatible


well thats the question wich one will fit?


the ones that are compatible with the CY? 32mm/36mm


know nothing about it, for now the pipes will do it, but in the future i do want get some more juice out of it!


and 28.5/29cc seems more than fine for me!


so with that said please guys help me out here!

Be wise when puttin cy parts on an hy engine they may work and the may not. if your installing a new head kit you should be ok but no promises. it could be a loose fit. i run copper gaskets for the head and so i was installing one on my xt but had to make slighty larger dia. to fit hy head

thanks for the heads up i'll keep that in mind, but for noe am just going to use the engines as it is, just adding the pipe, whenever in the future i get the feeling i need to replace or something than i'll do it!


just want to have it in my shelf as a back up plan! (plan B)
