What car Voodoo, i have an EVO 2012 and to mount the engine i pulled the clutch housing off and put the quick mount on. I had to use the 4 long grub screws and nuts to secure the housing to the engine, than put the clutch on and that is what slips inside the large mount that also holds the clutch bell and gearing. The rest of the engine bolts directly to the chassis. Can you put up some pics

Cheers Barry.
Yes Evo,thats the one.I was thinking of putting chopped bolts in butnyou have just given me the idea of the grubs.
Cheers

Well tried to mount the engine today and I came across a bit of a problem....there is an after market brace(I think?) on the top of the chassis and the engine wont fit in.
Has anyone came across this problem?

the brace is a m&r racing brace made only for the lwb cars ive one fitted but never had any engine fitting trouble although the rear of the brace on mine had 2 extra holes drilled under the ones that mount to the shock tower so mine maybe lifted up that little bit thats stoping you fitting the mill also have you got diff raisers fitted this will also lift the brace up a tad ill try and get some pics for ya mate

ps voo you need to remove the brace before fitting the engine mate its a knightmare with it fitted you can do it by just removing the rear mounting bolts and lifting it up but id recomend fit the engine then try and refit the brace after alls lined up

Put the engine in on your advice barry and it went but was as tight as a nuns chuff!:o

will have a look for some clutch side pics mate im using the same parts as you have posted up looks about right though mate,,the brace looks the same as well mine was a tight fit cant remember if i bent it a tad to get a better fit or not but mine runs close like that as well

if i find my tape ill measure them for ya voo but i think there stock length standard fg ones same as the marder ones 1 short one goes on the bottom mounting then the 2 top ones are a tad longer
