I'm sure this is the stupidest question asked here since the beginning of time but, when rebuilding a engine what is used to lube the motor? 2-stroke oil or something else? Thanks.

Yup, 2-stroke oil. Some manufacturer's have engine 'build or rebuild' oil, but I think it's marketing BS.

If ur really worried and wanna be picky u can use assembly oil. Which u can find at auto parts store. It's sticky so u can put on all bearing surfaces. But reg 2 stroke oil will do just fine. It is just used to prevent damage on that initial dry start up
