Hello,


Does anyone know if the XT engine has a magneto or coil? If so does this usually go bad at some point and where can I get a new one?

I changed the plug to the recommended NGK and I tried starting it. It i just doesn't start. Plus it sat for the winter and this is the first time for the new season. Also I recently added that drill starter and I would think that the drill would be faster then the arm to get it going. So I thought it must be the coil.

have you check for spark?

you can also try,to say the spot on the flywheel and the coil.

this happen to me and i did that,and it fired right up
 
Do you have fresh fuel? Carb settings correct? Did you happen to leave fuel in it while not in use?
 
Always run the tank low then empty the last bit. The Carb setting is correct and I just mixed up new fuel for the new season.
