I have now been running my engine (Zenoah G260) for 6 months and approximately 7-8 gallons. I am thinking of taking it apart to do some maintenance. What should I change? This is my to do list:

Change all bearings (clutch, diff, wheelhouse and so on)
Change piston ring
Change all the gaskets except for the crankcase gasket

Anything more I have to change? The engine is running fine at the moment I might add.

Do I really have to change crankcase bearings (I am thinking of skipping it). Seems to be a lot of job after only 8 gallons of fuel

You may have some back and forth movement of the crank but, if there is any up and down movement of the crank I would replace them.

I am in the middle of doing the same thing but after many more gallons of fuel. I started by installing an alloy servo plate and now its in pieces again. I just can't help myself sometimes. Mine was the same as yours, no need just wanted to change out the ring for s/giggles and piece of mind.

I just ordered the pin bearing, clips, ring, gasket set for all areas including the carb, TFE case bearings and new oil seals from DDM. All came to 37 or39.00 with shipping. It will be a complete tear down and since I have it 75% tore down its a snap to do the additional bearings and seals. Do it if you are questioning the seals or the movement of the bearings. That is what I am doing, I noticed a slight movement or it was in my head? For the additional 20.00 I needed the practice.

What's that old saying???? ...If it isn't broken ...

The Zenoah motors are not like a nitro, they last a LONG time... I am at about 15-18 gallons of fuel and all I did was add a big bore kit. The lower end is stock. My Venom speed meter says I have 1,500 miles on it (I added this on my 4th gallon of fuel) If you want to rebuild it go ahead, but I would imagine (as long as the carb is tuned properly) it probably doesn't need it. But then again it is your call...

Trip..
