Hi: Everyone :) ;)

Just wondering what you guys would recommend to get the very best performance from the stock 30.5cc motor in the maverick blackout????

990 carb, 8k clutch spring, tuned pipe (cpi, ddm, jetpro, or even a baja 5T cann <-- i run the 5t can 90% of the time as its 100% my fav to run with, best power balance all round for my use's on track, cheapest, cant damage it as its tucked inside the rollcage and its the lightest xD )

OHHH

and lose the HUGE MT monster tyres!!! they weight a tonn. i use baja rear wheel hubs all round(direct replacment, no mods) and run rear baja tyres all round (soime people run front all round as there narrower and lighter)

youll have a whole new beast on ur hands

it all depends what your looking for, i would get the cars hop ups sorted before taking engine apart, (thats just me, unless your pr0 a builder ) but in my case i just buy OBR engines anyway, and leave the engine building to the pros.

(less upsetting if i break a engine i brought rather then one i build :p )

Hi: Again

well dosent look to hard to strip one of these down!!! and am a mechanic by trade so wouldnt phase me i`m hearing alot about stuffed cranks and big bore heads I guess don't want this beast to let me down on the MPH side of things but sounds like theres a lot to do with upgrading this truck its just knowing where to start ????

TerraKill you`ve a massive help

i think youll benifit most from the wheels, pipe, clutch spring the most to start with man.

have you taken all 4 wheels off and felt how heavey they are?

Sorrry man haven't got one yet in another while just tryin to get an idea what I gotta do to make this beast a reall beast.

Would love to see some pics of urs ??

Well if you recommend not to bother doin a semi rebuild I`m happy with that do you think the plastic roll cage is worth a dam or go out and get the ALU... one:) ;)

ohh don't get me wrong don't let me put you off any mods, just saying what some good mods to start with:D

a really nice toutch would be a belt drive(but you would need diffrent wheels to compensate for the gear ratio

if money isnt a problem, go Ally Schwarzenegger on tht thing :)

you can find plenty of pics n vid of my car if you search my name, but its pritty war-torn atmo, it keeps up with the bajas on the track, and if they make a mistake BOOOM!! blackout coming tho! and it huggs the corners like a madman.

my box of parts is growing, not long now till i can begin turning my V2 into track only FG KILLER!/part time shelf woman

What tyres would suit the belt system????

Made another post on the belt system today in fact and good reports on it sounds like a plan :) ;)

you could use a stroker crank but the displacement is maxed out if it's 30.5 ,I think you already have the longest stroke and the biggest bore . you could get a race ported cyl though .start with the pipe and carb and clutch spring, then you will get the most from the stuffed crank and race ported cyl when they are added.
