I was wondering what benefits you might get from adding the aluminum engine mount as opposed to the spaces that came with the truck.

The main reason I've wanted to pick one up is so when I break her down, the spaces don't go falling all on the ground and then having to put them back first holding just right etc,...It also serves as a stronger 'anchor' (for lack of a better word) if the engine takes a hit in some way, probably much less likely to bust the fan shroud.

Be careful with the aluminum mount I picked on up and the holes didnt line up with the cy fan housing I had to notch the holes. It's made to fit a zen clutch fan housing.

I love my Python engine mount. If I had to buy another Rampage it would be the first thing on my list. There are two dimples in the engine mount inside the main holes for the fancover. You can install the mount and secure it with nuts using the main holes. You have to install the mount upside down since the dimples are on the bottom side. Then, drill through the mount and plate using those two dimples as guides. The drill bit centers up nicely in the dimples. Then, tap those new holes for a 4mm bolt. Then, you can countersink the chassis for the new holes. This way you can secure the mount to the chassis and it will never move. The installation is neat and very easy to do as long as you have a drill and 4mm tap. I have a thread on here from way back in the day showing the installation. Let me find it. Ahh crap I deleted the pictures a long time ago. Anyways you get the idea.

Python has has the engine mounts on sale for ONLY $6.95 for a looong time. At that price everybody should have one.
