Engine rebuilt. how do i start engine on bench???

Hello. Just fitted 29cc big bore kit to monster engine. Was wandering how you lot start your engines on a bench. How do you hold them down. I am finding that when i pull the chord i cant also hold the engine down.

Crazy question i know, but wanna check it runs mint before i go about remounting to the chasis.

I take it you don't have a vice? If its a wooden bench the best bet is to whack a couple of nails through the holes in the mounts on an angle and connect your tank.

I've never tried it, but what Voo said sounds good.

I would just pop it in the car and bolt 2 screws in without the gears just to test it out.
