Hi I'm pretty new to gas 1:5th scale RC's and one thing that I started noticing is that right after I would brake, the engine would rev up and even try to move (slowly) the car a bit. I was just wondering if this was normal and if it isn't if you guys could tell me how to fix it.
Do I need to adjust the idle settings? Needle setting? Etc?

Thanks a lot guys.

Oh and if it matters, I have a 30.5cc t1000 gt that I got from Dan. Thanks.

maybe you servo horn is setup to where when you brake and it goes back to idle position it is giving the car throttle. you may just have to ajust your sevo horn.

your servo horn is either setup wrong or you need to adjust the travel of the servo, when you brake and let go its pushing the throttle arm just enough that the engine revs, so check your travel first get it to where its idling with our throttling up but at the same time its not braking , gotta find that sweet spot

it sounds like when you let off the brake you servo is going back to where it opens the carb instead of being at an idle. i would think if you ajusted your servo horn it would help. or do you have your throttle trim set to where it is making it rev when you let off the brake?

I adjusted the throttle linkage a bit and it seems to work better now. the bogging while braking isn't as bad and it doesn't really rev right after braking. Haven't really done real testing to it though so I'll let you guys know.

The servo is also one thing I am thinking about. We'll see

Okay so I think I've figured out what is wrong. So there that plastic part where the throttle linkage is supposed to slide through right? Well it just needed some lubrication and now it seems to be all good! For now anyways...no bogging while braking and no revving when I let go of the brakes. So far so good!

Only thing I noticed is that the brakes are a bit weak! May have to look that one over though...

Often happens on the FG's.
I wasn't certain how the linkages work on this model.
May need to re-align slightly, adjust the return spring if you have one on the rod and/or a bit of oil or grease on the slider.
Al.
