Hey All,

Finally to get out between all the blasted rain and get the rampage run in

It had 2 tanks through it now - after the first i had to change the clutch spring to the 8K red one as the truck was crawling along on its own

The truck ran great on the second tank but .............. on the third it refused to start, changed the plug, was a pig to start but ran for about 5 mins then cut out, changed the plug again and finally got it started, engine rev's quite high at first then settled abit, but now it bogs as you pull back on the throttle and you have to blip the throttle lever to get it to move, runs ok till you drop the rev's back to idle then stutters and chokes and cuts out .

Im a little confused

Is it rich or too lean ??

I tried to do as squirrel you tube vid, but just aint happening :(

Can anyone point me in the right direction please ??

Thanks :)

Reset the Carb to factory settings and try it from there. Also make sure your tank is venting properly :)

Too rich it bogs down and dies and you burn up plugs.Too lean you tear up the motor,so your ok just too rich.most people end up at 1 1/4 out on the low and 1 1/2 on the high.put your truck on a stand so your wheels are off the ground.set your low at 1 1/4 out and your high at 1 3/4 out.Start it up it should idle.If it doesn't go down a little at a time on the low until it does.It doesn't take much.Once it idles on it's own start revving the motor, if it bogs down, slowly go down on your high until it's nice and smooth..Check your plug to make sure it's dark brown. If it's a white color your too lean and bad things will happen. If it's black your rich. When i say rev the motor that means engaging the clutch and getting the tires spinning.Hope that helps some

Well i would like to suggest something. On my last video i was noticing that it was bogging and like you i would have to play with the trigger to get it to move and once it was moving it would be ok. but once the turns and jumps came it bogged again. a little bit ago i decided to check it out and found out that the little sponge filter that fits inside the tank came off. Maybe you can check that and see.

Thanks for the replys guys ;)

I put a improved fuel klunker in the tank to help, its not the short stubby fg type its got two 3inch strips of that material stuff and was awesome in my monster bug, never stalled even when on it back for a few minutes.

I'll give your tuning tips a try at the weekend and report back :)

EDIT : I tried what you guys suggested and rampage is running sweet now :)

Thank you again guys, much apreciated :)
