Engine upgrade?

I'm running a stock 26cc Zenoah at the mo while I'm doing some work on the truck, I have got a ported 29cc with 813 carb to go in at some point though, however the 26cc does run great and always starts (choke removed) on the first or second pull. :)

Years ago I put a CY27cc head kit on because I stripped out the exhaust bolt. For $75.00 its been a great investment and not too bad a kit. Had to learn somewhere.

Cool.. I plan to upgrade once the stock motor gives out.. The motors generally last about 8-10 gals right?

If you're using decent oil and look after the engine it will probably go on for ages, when you start having starting issues and low compression then it's time to look at servicing the engine. :)

I had about 15-20 gallons in my G260 and really never thought I lost any compression until I replaced the ring. Now it pulls over a bit tighter alot like new. haven't tried it out yet but I think I could of gotten another 15 gallons before I would of known any better.
If you have good oil and fuel they can run forever if tuned correctly.

The new 3.3 motors are pretty good.. I have a couple gallons through my Jato and T-Maxx.. I run pretty rich though

If you are not racing it, and keeping it abet rich. Make sure to use decent filter with a pre-filter. And clean it regularly. God fuel and oil. And you will get bored of it before it needs any overhauling.

You'll get lots of bottom/mid range grunt with a big bore, but the 27cc and under rev higher so you'll normally see a better speed from those engines.

Really depends what sort of driving you do, and terrain. :)
