ya, it would really varry by your use, how you drive, and the surface conditions for the majority of your driving.

i just bash on grass & in gravel parking lots i also play in the winter i have a FS buggy with MXT's rears all around & a rear exit unsilenced jetpro pipe oh it also 4wd i hope this helps

You can literally go from $50 for a used engine on Ebay right up to a reed valved, ported, whatever for perhaps $600-700 !!
CY engines are rumoured to have bad plating on the cylinder liners, and Zenoah's are rumoured to be much better ...
'2 bolt' Zenoahs are rumoured to be 'more fragile' when being hammered than '4 bolt' Zenoahs, as the 4 bolt spreads the load more evenly BUT 2 bolts have 2 bearings and 4 bolts have 3 main bearings. The latter have been rumoured to fail ...
I 'bash' and don't run that much. I've an FG Monster with a Zenoah 2 bolt G260RC which is still perfect, and I've an on-road which I've fitted with a 4 bolt G240RC which has already had 4-5 tanks and I've revved pretty wildly at times (when it's gone over the tarmac onto the grass and has got a little stuck) and it's again perfect ...

Over to you.
The biggest gain is NOT in the motor, but in a tuned pipe anyway. You can gain 'up to 40%' power increase some say. There is an obvious increase and it's quite cheap. You can buy a $200 stock 4 bolt engine new + $150 tuned pipe and have one wild ride.

plus 1 on that my mate had a marder with a stock 23cc was quick from the word go but as soon as he brought my old jet pro and put it on mate the thing turned from quick to a animal pulling wheelies on demand like it had doubled the power and thats just a 23cc

my FS buggy has a 23cc motor in it with a jetpro pipe it just seems kind of slow so i think its getting long in the tooth thats why im serch for info on motors

thanx guys

if a zenoah will fit. drop in a new stock G260 (2bolt) or G270 (4bolt) and enjoy.
200 ish bux and just good, lasting, strong running 26cc motors.

depends what your budget is. first choice for me would be G270. Their reliable and the 4 bolt head has no leaks and doesn't blow base gaskets like the 2 bolt ones do.

if thats too expensive have a look at what Rovan offer, excellent pricing and my experience with them has been quite good.
