Entering my losi 5t in onroad racing

You can also use your droop screws to help those zip ties cope with the strain.....

This or somehow find/make shorter shocks or modify the shock tower. I personally think it would be better to have the truck sit low without having the shock preloaded on the compression stroke. But I can only guess that's how it's working from the pic. Maybe it is modded to allow no compression but I can't tell from the pic.

Yeah I use zip ties for now to see how it does at the track. I'm working on getting another set to keep them shorter permanent and keep the one set for off road. But I can take all the ideas for the shocks.

If you're planning to go between on and offroad and if you can ever find the time try doing a pushrod conversion/modification.

The traxxas revo is a good example.

F1 cars use the same shock layout.

I think this route would be best to keep using the stock shocks and then just have different rockers or mounting positions to adjust the shock.

Just thinking out loud right now.

Very nice I like the idea thank you jboy671

Hope it works out for you.

I actually liked the revo shock setup when I owned them a while back.

The only caveat is if you hit the pushrod just right it will snap. Then again it was easier (and cheaper actually) to replace just the pushrod instead of the whole shock.

Oh I talk to a friend of mine and he build parts for the losi and he told I can use spacers inside the shocks and is clean.

It is a good option but again if you want to go between on and offroad quickly I think the pushrod suspension may be the better route but only if you have the time to do it. Spacers in the shock will limit the downtravel of the shock and as a result will get you the lower ride height without being compressed. But you would have to remove the spacers to go offroading.

I'm biased toward yotas so for me that front end looks wicked. I actually like the way your 5ive looks with the baja tires and "dropped" but I like taking mine offroad more.

Oh yeah don't get me wrong lol I love the off road this what I'm doing is a little project if everything goes well then I get a another one for just onroad lol will see. Here in the area where I live they closed a lot of 1/5 off road tracks and the one onroad is still kicking lol

It just occured to me that you're using the wide 5b tires on your 5ive. Are you using extenders or did you bolt them straight up to the 5ive stock hubs? I'm thinking you're using extenders so the fronts clear the arms during steering. Let me know as I am looking to buy some new tires for my 5ive and might as well go wider if I can.
