I have a 2.0 dbxl gasser and am looking for some more power, and I thought this would be a good start along with 100LL, air filter upgrade, and a new pipe. I have some questions though, and despite my internet searching, I have still failed to find the answers to them, so I thought I'd ask here.
What would be a good spark plug to run with this setup?
Do I need assembly lube, etc to assemble this? I have plenty of tools, just not sure what else I'll need. This is my first engine rebuild.
Do I need to do any additional mods to my dbxl like clutch, etc to run this kit, or is it just striaght bolt on and go? Do I need to upgrade my pinion, etc?
Thank you ahead of time!
Also I am looking to increase my compression, any recommendations to do that?

just use a normal cmr7h plug mate,
all ya need is 2 stroke oil and just lube up the bore/piston/ring/ a tad in the bearings etc etc,
run it as is and if ya break anything along the way upgrade as ya go (y),
as for pinion, start with what ya have and then up the gearing if needed for how you drive/where you run etc,

Thank you. Should I perm locktite all the bolts?

if it was me i'd blue loctite most things mate, medium rather than strong,
that way it comes apart easier when needed (y),
i do red loctite the flywheel bolt and the clutch perch bolt, but a little heats needed to soften it when you need to disassemble again,
some of the other members may chime in with what strength loctite they use as well,
when all said and done its your choice (y)

Do you think I should get an upgraded carb? If so, what would you recommend?

as long as the 1107 that will be fitted anyways is in good order then stick with that for now mate (y),
then run the engine a while and upgrade from there
