As you may know they Euros are getting close so I thought it was time for a full strip down and rebuild. After stripping and cleaning everything, there wasn't much to do other than rebuild it
I stripped the shocks and rebuilt them with new seals and other bits, the diff was done, all new bushes, bearings, bolts, nuts, most of the washers and all the rod ends. All the swivel pins were fine but I did have a slight "tweek" on one of the streering links so that was replaced too.

Here are a few photos from stripping it down because it was dirty to building it up now it's clean - although it's not quite finished yet.

The radio gear comes out in one lump - it all works so just a good clean not a strip down.

Drive shafts get a full overhaul too

Hey was wondering what steering servo that was and how much power it has?

When they were new, they were about £180 - 10 years ago. now they're out of favour for the smaller ones they can be picked up for £50 on ebay. I got one for £10 the other day, safe to have a spare but I've never had one go in 10 years, the one in my car is from 2001.

I would like to know where you can buy one for £180, cheapest I know is straight from japan/China and they are about £250 here in the UK the price is about £420 for a new one.

Not doing the Euro's as this is my first year off road so still learning to drive quick, got a tonegawa from Curly RC for my TK09 which is mostly kitted out with curly stuff I think the only original parts are chassis( TK10 ), engine carrier and front hubs, deffo going to Mendip to watch the on road in August.

Not too much left to do. Shocks serviced, brakes serviced inc new pipes, diff serviced, radio gear cleaned, refitted and checked and spare engine built up with mount, QR engine coupler and air filter - just the clutch and manifold to go on.

Just the last bits of plastics, a new tank, clutch and bell - thats about it.
All thats left then is to put my set up on it and go racing.
