Been offered the chance of an Evo 3 today. Ive not seen it or any pics yet so all I know is its standard and generally in decent condition.

I don't know much about MCD's so is the Evo 3 any good and what do I need to look out for on these?

My mate knows a lad who is having a clear out & he apparently doesn't use it anymore so it's going.

the evo 3 is generally a good spec 5th scale, make sure its not a race runner evo2 they are rubbish with tones off problems...one way off spotting the difference is the wishbone arms on the evo 2 are rounded evo3 ones are more like the marder arms if you get pictures or some info that will help.
How much is he selling it out for

don't pay to much for it as prices off the evo 3 have dropped considerably know that the v4 buggy has come out.. 300-350 is decent i wouldn't pay any more pal.

ive had both mate the evo2 and evo3... the evo3 is miles better without doubt.
another thing is the MCD the comp version or the standard one.
the handling on the MCD's is unreal 100x better then and 2wd, they come 4wd witch does slow down the acceleration but thats not a problem will you be using it for bashing or racing.
MCD is a track 5th/

Here guys this was my MCD evo3 fitted with a 29cc zen, all rhino servos samba v1 pipe and the rest is stock, bare in mind this is the normal version, the competition version is mainly alloy that's a big give away.

renber both my MCD had plastic cobra wheels (tarmac tyres).

I have had mine for a couple of weeks now and it's just amazing, the grip is unreal, mine started life as a sport but now has comp mods and also some v4 parts, as to price you don't really see anything under 400 - 450, just picked an oddie up for it so should be very good fun

good buy mate it was plastered all over the msuk website looked ace did you swap him for an hpi baja and he kept his engine?

personally i would off kept the baja but that mcd shell looks the bomb

This 1 has the std shell apparently what ever that is!!! Darkside, was yours the std shell, you got any pics of it mate?

Yes swapped for my baja, reason I swapped is because I really wanted a mcd and a baja 5sc, so I thought ditch the 5b for the mcd then get a 5sc ss kit :) you will enjoy a mcd, good fun
