Any thoughts about adding a extension to the tip of pipe to help keep oil off chassis. I'm thinking about maybe 6 to 8 inches of high temp hose just to cut down the mess. I don't think it will hurt performance because l see silencer extensions added on. Any suggestions?????]

Curious, what platform?

I have done it on my Vekta 5. First was with the DDM Dominator pipe. I used the aluminum stinger extension and rubber coupler that came with the original Baja 5T and 5SC. Then with the VRC pipe I used the silicone tubing to route the exhaust out of the cage. On my Baja 5T/SC's, I usually add an extension for the side pipes. On my 5ives, I added these all for the same reason, to keep it somewhat clean. Granted the longest extension was on the Vekta, the rest had maybe a 3 inch hose to it, if that. One may lose minimal power only visible on some sort of dyno.

Baja terminator with a fearless pipe. Cheap little chrome one because l smashed the original. No performance issues with it. 36 cc stock engine. Very hesitant to do it with the taylor 50 raminator, it's the one with the mess issue, but it's also one of the ones I've seen with the long add on silencer on utube. I too don't think it will hurt anything but was curious. I figured since the extension has a i.d. as big as the o.d. of pipe it should be fine. Thank you for the info, much appreciated!!!

Should be fine. the expansion chamber itself does most of the power band manipulation. It MIGHT cut a little off the top end like a silencer, but it isn't going to crater the performance.

In boats up to about 20 inch length you safe. Beyond that? Who knows. The longest I have done for someone is 15 inch long. If you have to go longer? I would bump up inside diameter of stinger to not cause any backflow issues.
