Extending the wheelbase

Is there anything I can do to extend the wheelbase of my Race runner make it half an inch wider on either side?
 
You can cute the chassis in halve and wiled in an aluminum pica with the required extra length. HE HE HE.
 
lol . Actually, I was talking the width! Maybe putting in longer dogbones and stretching out the rosejoints to the max.
 
If your Race Runner is an Evo 2 or 3, using pre Evo wheels/rims (or FG, Harm, Lauterbacher ones) will increase the track width.

The reason I am asking also is because I was thinking of putting some sick longer shocks on it like the HPI baja ones. I'd like to see the car be a little higher off the ground with a longer arm travel. Might be cool.
 
b careful its not a mod you cant easily reverse if need be. ive been pushin mine around pretty hard, and hardly ever roll it. if you widen track you might upset geometry, decress steering circle etc. maybe get long travel kit on front. i can see point about wanting it to sit higher, but it handles so good i dnt realy mind! put up sum piks of wat you come up with.
