If you run Robs red springs anyone tried cutting and adding a piece of the stock spring on top of it to take up the space. HPI rear plastic spring double spacer ought to work well?

I got the red springs already and I got my Bad Horsie shock boots today in blue. But I am not near ready to break in my truck.
