LargeScaleRC.com has FG F1q parts. As i think does DDM. FGHopups or Molzer Mowrey could help out. there are a handfull here stateside. Maybe even python motorsports.

You could always try larrys. they sell some FG and have a Bergonzoni F1 there for sale. (But they still want too much for it.)

heh. ya i havnt checked those places for a couple years now. lol

Id love to get an F1, and will at some point. but doubt it would be this year.

so i just got some more pics of the car, its an older model, is there anyone on this forum who knows alot about the f1s, who could help me by telling me some things by the pics??

post them Up CC. though i never owned one, i did alot of research on them, and should be able to help out. if i can, the others here can im sure.

it is a project car, and i heard that fg cars are upgradable, but for 190 bucks shipped from the uk i couldnt pass that up... i should be gettng it by the 1st of may.

190.00 SHIPPED? DAMN Did you kiss him TOO! holy poop batman, you raped him for it! Great Buy! BUT, heres the quirk, i don't believe its an FG.

What you have there i believe is a Yankee F1 or a Raco F1.
these are true 1/4 scales also so around 38 inches long if im not mistaken.
Parts is going to be a trick i think, but they are out there, though you may have to source the majority of them from Overseas.

If its a Yankee, you could be in Luck. the guy that Owned the Yankee company is still a lightly active member over on RCTech.net. if you look thru the Oval, LargeScales and more section, he recently made a post to another member with one of his old sedans, and said he could help him with a servo problem he was having. the old servos these things used were pretty killer and kind of purpose build units.

when its done and back to its full glory, it ll be a sweet part of RC History and a nice collectors item. i would run it, but gingerly.

i looked over at quarterscalelegends.com , they had lots of raco and yankee f1 pics, to me it doesn't appear to be either. i hope its an fg. i wrote the owner n he swears its an older fg

id have to take a closer look. that one pic with the side brace on it with the holes in it(brace was on the left side of pic) is what got me thinking Yankee /Raco maybe.

I think Keyosho had one also back in the early/mid 80s.

It doesn't look like the Berg, but could be. id have to get a good look at one.
but it very well may be an Early edition FG. but again, parts may be a bit scarce. maybe try checking the molzer mowrey site. i think its www.molzermowreyracing.com
they have been the Main US importer for MANY MANY F1 modesl thru the years.

drop a few pics over on qsl, i bet one of those guys and id and date it.

go to Larrys. He has a Berg setting on the F/S rack. been there a few years i understand. asking 1000. i ve often thought about going in and offering less, due to it being discontinued, and parts are hard to get.

theres a guy in Florida that just stopped selling them 2 yrs ago i guess it is now. i don't recall his name, but i think its posted in one of my old bergonzoni brave threads. He may be able to find some parts for you.

the one at larrys looks pretty new and unused, but not worth a grand any more. though the rig and motors rock pretty well. though they could use a new stiffer chassis plate setup. maybe a CNCd piece of work that 6mm thick but milled out correctly would be the poop.

maybe ill waiti n see, i can get carbon fiber from a guy i know that builds dragsters and i know a guy with a barn full of working bridgeports and cnc machines, maybe ill just machine a poop load of parts for it . it'll take a lot longer now. so no fg parts will fit on it?? even the body ( they look similar)

Body should fit or adapt over. if the guy in fla can be contacted, he likely has parts still, maybe even a motor. theres a guy in cali that sells a ls called a Dynamic on ebay occasionally. Dynamic is the same as bergonzoni. He has some motor and sedan parts, and may even have some F1 gear though im not for sure.

i ll try to find his email as well as the guy in Fla. I have them in my yahoo stuff, so the should be around, just a matter of remembering them when i run across them.

no, the bergonzoni used a Tech/Boss 23cc Sqaured Reed Case motor. trust me, if you can get on, you wont worry about any other motor.

I have a pretty good bit of info here on them inmy old berg threads. Loved that motor, and if i could of adapted it to fit the Baja, i would have.

But the motors mount totally different then the zens/cys.

you would have to custom build motor mounts to put in a Zen. but if you can get the Boss 23, you wont want to.

well , i talked to the guy in great britin. he shiped it via air mail, yesterday in 2 packages. hes tellin me about 2 weeks till i get it. in the mean time ill be looking for parts.... bergonzoni wrote me back, it is a berg, an older f1

got my berg finally, it needs alot. im gonna look into a custom 1 off carbon fiber chassis. and im gonna prolly get fg front suspension / frame stuff to start
