Unfortunate start - wet!!
Anyone who didn't see it - I'm not mentioning any names or places!!

Qualifying 1 completed - JUST.
Qualifying 2 & 3 POSTPONED until midday OzTime - MIDNIGHT UK TIME.
Reasons given were safety related - both the rain (obvious) and the failing light (end of daylight hours).

Does look like Red Bull are starting as they left - VERY FAST.
Hopefully it'll be an interesting race.

Al.

Nice competition!!

Just got back from a bite to eat with the family - left Everton at 1-0 up and TBH didn't expect much ...
2-0 - well done The Blues!!

Back to the race ....
Nico's upped his game to Lewis I reckon and it'll be very close on the qualifying tables I reckon by the end of the season.
Lewis will get it over Nico, but not by much!!

I'm going for ..... dry qualifying .....
1. Seb Vettel.
2. Lewis.
3. Alonso.
4. Mark Webber.
5. Nico Rosberg.
6. Jenson B.

Race ....
1. Alonso.
2. Vettel.
3. Lewis.
4. Jenson.

Long shot!!
Al.

Lookin very promisin for Lewis and the silver arrow :D prittey disappointed with the macas though definatly thought Jenson would have been higher up than that, but the raging bulls 1 & 2 what a suprise :w00t:

;) If it ain't broke, bash it till it is ;)

Yeah was a good race, looks like the iceman is back on form. Good result for Lewis with a car they said wouldn't be competitive :D

Surprised with the performance of the raging bulls and macas :( hope the get that sorted or it may be a 2 horse race with alonso and the iceman :D

;) If it ain't broke, bash it till it is ;)

great race and result, i reckon it'll be a close season once the teams figure out the tires, best thing was bringing in pirelli and keep changing the compounds every year.

and only another 3 weeks and motogp kicks off...the Doctor back on a competetive bike bodes well for some great battles, though the Rossi/Giberneau years were the best ever for intense bar to bar wheel smoking sideways action...no traction control back then and 250+hp...awesome

That's what Mooman meant, he's moved on, to a competitive Japanese bike!!
Is the Doctor doing a Schumacher and hanging on too long ........ ??

I'm told if a 'layman' gets in a car with 80+ Sir Stirling Moss, he'll still have you gasping like it's Seb or Lewis driving, nearly, so The Doc may still be good.

Here's to Malaysia - was always a favourite - loved seeing and hearing the 3-litre V10's just going OVER 20k revs and 1k bhp!! NICE!

Still annoys me they pegged the revs - what's wrong with 22k, with modern technology?

Next year's 1.6 V6 turbos are still allowed to rev higher than the mega turbos of the 80's which hit 1.1k in qualifying, so it could even be something to look forward to.
Can't see it saving any money, 'though the fuel is going to be substantially limited, unlike in the 80's.
Al.

he's only a 10th or so slower than lorenzo, Rossi will be winning races this year for sure and i reckon he's got another world title left in him too

the turbo's are going to be interesting, renault still hold the record for out and out bhp...1600 in qualifying back in 1985

mercedes and ferrari say the new 1.5l engines they are testing still makes 750hp like the current v8 but have more torque

i believe boost is unlimited but fuel consumption will play a huge roll, driver will be able to change boost on the fly, add kers and should make for mundo overtaking opportunities

f1 is getting better and better
