Ok all I have busted yet another part "50014 Steering hub". I bought the aluminum replacement part 050006b from an online source which I received and it was not correct. I ordered from another source and the part came which is still not what I'm looking for.

This is the part I keep receiving:

This is the part that I want:

050006B2_zps146a9260.webp

Are both of these the same part number?

There was a thread a little while back about this....the one you received is the 'new' version....Redcat changed it up but many sights still show the older version in their pictures....I believe RCpitstop shows the correct one

Well that seems pretty crappy. A new part that seems to be a poor design and does not even come with the correct screws. If you buy this part then you are on a search for the correct screws.

Thanks for the info krashkrieg

The older version (bottom picture) has not been available for a couple of years now. They would be very hard to find.

Man same problem here The old aluminum part is exacly like The plastic one or it seems exacly The same, like you i order Last year and i got what you got so i Just kept The plastic and like you said The new part looks weaker and The stock screws wont work.

Thanks for the info DAD.

Sergio, I feel like a big arse right now because I filed an paypal dispute with one guy I ordered from and they found it in my favor but on the flip side he did have the wrong picture posted.

I cut my screws down yesterday and cleaned the tips. It worked like a charm but idiot me did not use lock tight as I was just itching to run her and tune after putting on my new cone filter.....One of the screws backed out and is some place in my yard. I'll make a trip to Lowes today and get some screws. I will post which one work best.

I'm glad I read this thread I was about to replace the front and rear. I think now I will just stick with the stock plastic.

The stock plastics are great but for me I have snapped so many parts I decided to go aluminum with each replacement. Besides..... it looks much cooler. The other thing that is kind of odd is Redcat changed the production on the aluminum steering hub but kept the plastic the same... WTH

Thats cool man keep us posted i have mine on my tool box and haven't install them because they seem weaker but maybe im wrong

Can someone clarify this for me?

The available steering hub ( upper pic in post #1 ) will fit in place of the part in lower pic.

If its just the fastener length, that's no big deal.

I suppose the MT version I have is the " hybrid " (it has 4 pin drive gears) and is a mix of

Early V3 and whatever was on hand at assembly?

The hub will fit in place and the fastener has to be cut down. " I did not find the right one at Lowes"

Not sure about your MT Version question.. What are you looking for?
