i am running my carson attack on a two channel futuba receiver and wanted to fit a fail safe for safety reasons i have looked about and seen plenty of fail safes that work the brake/throttle servo in to neutral when losing the signal but a few people have suggested using a kill switch operated one too that kills the engine. these require a three channel receiver however which would mean replcing my receiver and handset as well as wiring up the kill switch to the receiver? are these really necessary or are any of you using the simpler two channel route? what do you guys recommend?

thanks

i,am only running a failsafe on my baja without it it would have been off long ago , but theres allways a chance of a stuck throttle then a failsafe is useless, what part of liverpool you in chris?

ye mate but it wont turn of if i turn the tx off only if i hit the 3rd channle or battries fall out of car but i had a glitch and the car cut out so seems fine apart from when i turn the tx off do u no what it could be ?

not sure about the traction problem? im pretty new to this so im not the best to comment not had it too long but the carson was recommended to me as a good value buy. the build quality seems excellent im well pleased with it the guy i bought it from had only run it five times and he paid a lot for it. sold it to me for £250 all it needs is a new body shell i have cleaned it and its like brand new. still cant get over how much more fun this is than my nitro hpi savage its a LOT more reliable.

hated the whole tuning thing and was never that good at it anyway spent most of my time trying to get the thing to start then it would keep cutting out! sadly the savage is now located at the back of my loft rotting away i have even given up on my e savage i always ran for the carson. they are just so much fun and mega reliable it starts all the time and runs for ages on a tank of gas. sold all my other nitro cars on to other people just hanging on to my old school tamiya collection for nostalgia now.
