my failsafe stopped working when i rebinded my remote. is there anything i can do to get it to work again? where is it located or is it built in to the reciver?

Need to check the manufacturer's instructions and depends on the model.
Generally you rebind whilst holding the throttle in the position you want as the failsafe.
For the Spektrum, it's a bit of a '3-handed affair' with the bind plug in the Rx, you hold the throttle generally on full brake, switch on the Rx, then power up the Tx, until the lights are solid. Switch off. Switch on as normal and you're set, with the bind plug removed.

Loads of comments on this subject with generally the same contribution.
FAILSAFE: Requires battery - applies brakes (if set) when communication lost.
KILL SWITCH: Does NOT require battery as LOSS OF POWER will cut the engine, as well as the comms loss, and the pose power 'I can remotely kill my engine with a switch' thing.

Imagine your truck is at full bore, battery is poorly connected / servo arm is loose.
Truck bumps over a rock, battery disconnects / arm comes off.
Failsafe can do stuff all, engine is at full chat. THIS IS WHERE THE KILL SWITCH CUTS THE ENGINE.
You may still be unlucky and that concrete wall is 50 metres away, and it won't slow that much in that time, ..... but it certainly won't hit at full power and full speed!!

when i have the money i am getting a kill switch. because any number of things could go wrong. my worst fear is that my servo will burn up at full throttle. i try check all of my conections before i run.
