ok i had a 27mhz futaba tx and used a Race Guard Micro Fail-Safe by Dynamite

http://www.horizonho...?ProdId=DYN2553

it worked fine on the futaba,

today i bought a 2.4 gh core tx and it does not work,

turned on the rx the FS goes red then green as they pair but does nothing when i turn off the tx or pull the batt out the rx

i will be buying a kill switch tomorrow but would be good if i had both

anyone know why?

cheers

I have just bought the core stick set as well :cool2: What do you think of it? I quite like the quality & feel & find it easy to use the menus etc.
You don't need your micro fail safe now! Use the 1 built into the set and it will work fine ;)

ah awesome thanks, didnt know it had one,

yeah great bit of kit so far, not been out with it yet, i like how you can set up the throttle so you get 100% throttle then can set the brake % so to not bend the throttle arms etc, also the abs thing seems to be good, just need to read it all to understand how to set it up lol

Yeah its got everything the more expensive sets have got. Im pleased with it so far :cool2: I had a problem where the throttle wasnt opening up fully even with the endpoint adjust set to 120% & I thought the servo had gone :helpsmilie: Turned out I needed to adjust the ATL setting from the preset 50% up to about 88% & all was fine :clown: If you need any help with the settings give me a shout ;)

Go for the Killer Bee. You can get these to work on a 'used' channel for 2ch sets or 3ch where all channels are already in use or for a spare channel on the 3ch sets. They are different versions! You may be as well emailing them to make sure they are compatible with the Core Tx. MMR Largescale stock them in the UK.

Check out the 'Crash Bang Wallop' thread to see what happens if you go for the cheapo JackRC version off ebay :nono:

ok thats what i wanted to hear, so can i run it off a Y lead so it will kill the engine if the tx turns off or do i have to run it off the 3 rd channel

Not sure on that mate but it sounds about right! I would ask someone who knows about electronics :clown:

Nope. The Killer Bees are not the same as Picos. They are similar in appearance, but they are not the same. Different circuit boards, and different firmware. The Killer Bee works with high resolution radios, it also handles higher voltage battery packs, and it also has LED and Buzzer outputs. The Killer Bee was designed by myself, solely to be a kill switch. The Pico is not.
