I purchased a faulty item from Auctioncity Australia/Oversize RC. These are 2 different businesses run by the same people. I had a mechanic look at the truck who said the motor was faulty. I tried to contact the seller but they will not respond to emails. There is no after sale service. Does anyone have any ideas on what I could do?

You should have done a little more research before purchasing from there. There have been many complaints, my suggestion just fix it.

Good luck in the future.

Hi Jasrx,

I reside in Queensland. Oversizerc and Auctioncity Australia operate from Melbourne. The mechanic I took the truck too tried for ages to start truck by pull start and by using a drill. Neither worked. In the end they stripped down the motor and found faulty components inside. In their opinion I am better off just replacing the engine. Apparently the 26cc engine that comes with these trucks aren't that good they said. I think I will put in a Zenoah 27cc engine instead. Does anyone know if these engines work well?

did you buy with crdit card ?, call ur card and tell them what you purchased was a pile of junk and they falsly advertised, and you want your money back cause the car company isnt responding to your calls or emails and you feel youv been had. and you will purchas a better car at a reputable company somewhere else. if you don't get anywhere with person at credit card cmpany ask for a superviser. good luck

Depends on what's faulty. If it wasn't a Zenoah on the truck, then it was most likely a CY motor, and while okay for parking-lot bashing those motors are known to not hold up well to racing or "abuse". Depending on what is bad, you might be okay just buying replacement parts and putting it back together. EBay can be a life saver, as long as you're frugal.

As for returning it, if the company won't talk to you I guess it makes it nigh impossible to arrange an RMA (though I can't imagine any company not being willing to provide a replacement at least). Since you live in Australia, why don't you just take a road trip, go visit them (if you have an address). I'm sure they'd have a different approach to you in person.
