alrighty!, so ive had my rampage mt for about 2 weeks, and im LOVING it, to hell with nitro!..anyways, my redcat pipe broke in half, so im back to using the stock one. I like how quiet the stock one is, so i was wondering if the X-can would be somewhat the same. I know the dominator is the most popular one and the best. But my hearing is bad enough as it is, so i cant handle how loud it can be. My question is..there much of a performance difference between the X-can and dominator?


and i was just out with my rampage, and i have it idling nicely, high speed needle is set to just under to rich, so it runs well, and im not really sure what to do with the low speed needle. If i go all out with the rampage it tends to cut out, has on me 3 times now. Ive noticed theres little to no blue exhaust coming out, but if i richen the needle, it runs very very boggy and STILL no exhaust comes out.

the way i see it the pipe that would serve better your needs would be a 5T can or a big can from the new 4bolt CY. anything else would be loud and if you do not go for a pipe to gain performance there is no reason to get an x-can.


smoke from the exhaust has to do with the mixture and the type of oil you are using. do not try to tune it as a nitro. stay very close to the default settings and when you try something make sure your filters are nice and clean.
 
I enjoy the power increase the X-can gives and the safetly of it being tucked in there nicely. The power won;t be comparable to a tuned pipe, but its worth the money spent.
 
ya thats one reason i wanted an x-can, because with the other pipes, i don't want to cut off half of the 150 dollar body i just bought, but we shall see :(
 
I cant take it anymore I gotta ask. Chevy Im not sayin its impossible but how did you snap that side dom? I have one too and the stainless steel is pretty strong. That must have been one hell of a crash, or if nothing else im assuming a direct hit on the pipe to cause it to snap. What happened that caused it to break?
 
Oh ok so it didnt snap or break, it just got all bent to hell. I wish you would have have caught that crash on video. Maybe its just me, but I always feel like when you do carnage like that to your ride its usually during a moment that would make for a great vid! You know one of those "did you see that" moments....lol
