Few thoughts on my new 09 Sportline

Hey guy's
I have had the car a few weeks now and have to say
that I'm impressed. The car came brand new with a
zenoah 240 and 2-speed transmission.The body is a
custom painted mclaren GTR that is awesome looking
I wanted to try onroad so I purchased a entry level car and
I have to say that I always thought onroad would be boring, boy was I wrong

I am having more fun with this car than my off road trucks,so
my plan is to get another one. I still cant believe how fast this
car is, it shifts into second gear and just takes off. I love how
the front disk breaks sound as the car comes to a stop.The car
handles like its on rails, and hooks up with PMT tires and a
really nice alloy rim's.

The new tank design holds about an hour of run time and the
flip up cap is a nice touch.The engine also came with quick release
engine mounts,don't really know how that works yet :cursing:
I really think the car is very well built, but the body is a pain
to get on and I have to figure out a better way.Big thanks goes
out to Killermolly for helping me with the car. Here is a few picture
after a hard day of running,little dusty but that's ok. Oh yea, nothing
broke and no crashes. :clap:

Hey Chris
The rim's are black anodized alloy, they came with the car as a pkg deal.
I was told that the rim's are not made anymore, and the original owner
had them for a few years using them for display only. If you click my
user name [view profile] and look at my albums,I have a nice close up of the rim :cool2:

Were did you get that air filter. Did you have to cut a hole in the body? I was hoping not to have to do that..

You don't have to cut the body.

Could you please let me know how far off the ground those side posts are?
Mine are 27.5mm from the benchtop to the center of the post and the body touches the floor.
I am looking to fashion some shims, but i don't know how high they are supposed to be.

The car has been put in storage for winter, so I can't check.
Sorry,but I can tell you that body sits very low to the ground.
Air filter came with the car

No problem Kamitiro,
What i did was adjusted the shocks. They had no preload on them and the chassis was almost touching the ground. Now it rides much better. I got the air filter in the mail. If it doesn't work out, i'll get the same one you got.
Your car looks great.
