fg cable brakes

hello im trying to fit some fg cable brakes on my early fg touring car, but how do you mount the calipers to the hubs? there are no holes in hub to mount the caliper, do you need to upgrade hubs ? please help im stuck lol

hi mate, the front hubs should have holes in them ,they maybe small if they have never been used, my rears never though................phil

you can use a very fine drill (e.g. 1mm) to make a pilot hole if there is none.

as a rule of thumb, go for half a three quarters the size of the screw. so for M4, drill a 2mm pilot

some early fg cars didnt have the mounting location on the upright for the calipers. the only way to put brakes on is to buy new uprights.
