Naftausa,
I don’t know who makes the body, I got it from Hobbythek in Germany http://www.rc-car-online-shop.de/lshop,showdetail,23481,e,1227726022-27241,angebote.angebot_des_monats,nov_2008_05,,Tshowrub--angebote.angebot_des_monats,.htm. The actual price of the body is pretty good, the shipping for me is a different story. I will take some pics when I get a chance and post them up.

Bigger the Better,
I broke the push rods that go from the servo horn to the servo saver. On one push rod the plastic joint around the ball broke transferring the entire steering load to the other push rod causing it to bend. I am now looking for some Titanium push rods a beefier rod end.

Bigger the Better,
All I could come up with is that the spring was really stiff when it was new and now it does seem to be a little softer. The impacts hopefully soften the spring up. The servo saver came with 4 o-rings but it seemed to stiff so I only put on 2 o-rings. As a matter of fact one of the o-rings on the servo saver snapped. Another thing was that the rod used for push rods is a fully threaded rod and probably wasn’t the best choice to use for this application.

Mooman007,
I am with you on the two speed and I also want to get me a set of those DPS alloy rear arms you have. As for the belt drive system, it has proven it self reliable to me.

They are all made with the threaded rod. The problem sounds like the saver is too tight.
In the directions for the alloy saver it explains to adjust the tightness with the amount of o rings you use. Sounds like it was too tight. A bit of slop is not a bad thing. Luckily the servo didn't get trashed.:)

Hint: The effect of the alloy servo saver can be adjusted by the number
of the used O-rings. The more O-rings are used, the harder is the
effect of the alloy servo saver.

Make a thread on it in the General Section and we will ask away on the questions to help.;) This way we don't steal someone else's.

I have heard that instead of using the o-rings on the servo saver, to use some surgical tubing, its much more elastic than the o-rings. I have found it at McMasters, and i am sure it is available from most medical supply places.

Its very cheap, about a buck a foot, and that would last forever since you only need about 1/4 inch.

Thats a great looking ride you got pwaicon,Looks to handle quite well. What's that jingling sound I hear in your vid?Is that the gears meshing, clutch bell, cvd's?I'm very jealous of your track.

Frank

Thanks Riff-Raff. Funny you should mention that little jingle, I have never actually noticed it until the other day when I was making another video and watched the old one and there was this jingle. All I could come up with for the jingle source were the metal disk rattling on the square wheel drives. I will pay closer attention next time I take out the buggy and see if this is indeed the source of the jingling.

Naftausa, here are some pictures of the mounts I made to fit the truggy body on. Sorry about the delay I forgot you wanted pictures until I read the thread again.

Also thanks for the driving comments Ducky and Shiny. However, I am sure I would have to give the credit to the buggy, it handles excellent.

I would say brake disks too. Especially if you have them on all 4. Also you may want to check and see if they can be adjusted with the smallest amount of space between the pads when the brake is off. This way they have less area to rattle around.
