Hi Guys, would anyone be up for a visit to the FG factory for a tour round?

It would be a two nights in a hotel, so set off Thursday, get to the hotel and have a few drinkies, have the tour on the Friday - watch bits being made/designed and such, night out in Stuttgart on the Friday night then travel back on the Saturday. If we get something like a 15 seater minibus, it shouldn't work out too expensive - picking up at various services en-route seems the best idea - plus there is always the duty free to consider.

The tour would be free as FG always welcomes visitors.

It'll take some planning and a fair way of doing the fund share with everyone paying the same - nobody paying more or getting stitched up if people don't turn up.
Finding a minibus hire firm that allows us to go into Europe will be a good starting point.

Other than a minibus, I've enquired with the guys at the factory to have a look around and see what they can find by the way of twin rooms - an even number (14 or 16) would be better to split the rooms - daft as it may seem, some may moan if 1 person scores a room to themselves.

I've made a couple of enquires with hire firms near Mcr airport as I work near by.

From Manchester, it's the best part of 800 miles/13 hours drive although it'll be more with pick ups and pee breaks.

Your thoughts please.

I had a quick look at flights as an alternative and its about £250 return to Stuttgart even booking 4 months in advance so too expensive that way. The alternative is a few cars if there isnt enough interest to fill a bus. I know my car would use about £160 in petrol each way so not too bad split 4 ways and even less in a diesel.

Fair point there bud, then it's just down to the individuals to book the hotel per car - be there at this time or you miss out kind of thing.
