hi ive had my leopard 2 years know and its still great fun, but i really like the look of the hpi baja, is there much between the two cars? i use it for bashing,so whats best?:)

The baja is a basher car that people hop up and try to race.

The leopard is a race car that people hop up and try to bash.

I think that the FG Leopard is a far more versatile car than the HPI and set up correctly it'll work far better than the baja.

thanks mike, so even a set up early leopard would be better, mine is a early leopard, its a standard 26cc with samba pipe and 70% alloy, have you any tips on how to set it up better?

I would say Hpi Baja for bashing , easy to drive and parts are cheap , plus you can buy them any where .

Fg leopard is to old now , and parts are alot of money if its a alloy car you have mate .

The Baja is getting old too, there are bags of spares for cheap money on ebay for both cars. The Baja is still the choice of the basher but I still say the FG is more user friendly.

parts are cheap and easy to find with the baja.I've crashed it before. with my marder I wouldn't be so quick to hit some jumps.

i have a fg marder and a km baja which is just a clone of the hpi, i like the fg layout much better and find it easier to work on.
the shocks are good on the hpi/km bajas and seem to handle bumpy fields easy and are hundreds of parts on ebay,if it was a marder then there are also loads of parts, but i think leo have mostly different parts to the fg marder.
the bajas are a very popular bashers car and people absolutly swear by them. the bajas are so much fun, they handle good and easy to drift with the oversteer.
like mike said people try to make a baja into a racecar and vice versa so if you completely bashing then maybe a baja or keep the fg until you decide which one you want.
im sure if you go to a bash someone will let you try their baja.
i use my fg mostly but haven't touched my baja since a few months ago but thats mainly down to me prefering fg,just my opinion.

mazda mike, is your marder set up for drag racing? and how do you find the victory pipe,is it thevrc or pro?

have you a picture of your leo?

the marder only has one tank threw it havnt been able to nail the throttle yet.but the VRC pipe sounds good.my Baja has dirt tires on it and will be for bashing only.

post up some pics of your rides.
