Hey mooman007uk

Thanks, going to make alloy radio tray, just adding alloy rear shock mount to list of goodies.

I wouldn't worry about the alloy rear brake mount if you're going to fit hydros to the front, but I would get both engine mounts in alloy. :)

Hey Bigger the Better

Marder £450
Dom Pipe £115
Alloy pits, 2 Speed & Hydro's £750

Total about £1300,

Little less painful than my MCD Staduim Truck.

That kind of money sounds about rite, I payed 2,000.00 for my MB Pro all done in aluminum everywhere absolutely everywhere. So your estimate is not far off.

Your estimate comes to just under 2,000 us dollars.

Hey Ducky

Wouldn’t the alloy rear brake mount help to stiffen up the back end?

Hydro’s is just to the rear to start with, but will not be going in for a while.

Engine mounts will all be alloy.

I checked the price and it's not much, plus if you want 7474 then it's needed, although I don't think you'll notice much difference. The alloy diff mounts make a larger difference. :)

I would also mount the hydros on the front before the rear, as the front is where the most braking power is needed.

I took the alloy brake mount off when I fitted my hydros, don't think it really does anything to strengthen owt.
If you're gonna get brakes the best deal is here right now http://www.rc-car-online-shop.de/cgi-bin/cosmoshop/lshop.cgi?action=showdetail&wkid=14306&ls=e&nc=1230850687-14364&rubnum=&artnum=y1129&file=&gesamt_zeilen=0Tsuche--mecatech can't beat this value...cheaper than used ones from ebay.co.uk.
You might run a little over budget if you buy everthing brand new, some parts are retardly expensive. I ebayed a lot of my stuff and I still got a total of $3500 CAD all up...200 quid just for servos which is missing from your list. you'll have a bad ass buggy when you're done though

Ducky, was going to fit Hydros to rear so I can lock up the back end & have some fun when driving, I'm only bashing around not racing,

MooMan, yip seen that deal, looks great, but my bank is just getting over christmas (lol), will have to see if i can fit them in, would be a shame to miss out on the great deal.

ebay is great but if i buy form US i need to watch shipping, will be shopping around,

i've already got elect's.

lets get building.... can wait.

based in SW London, putney / Southfields way, but only unit end of 2009, then back to New Zealand then Aussie,

Looks good, but why don`t you order the 8485/1 adjustable diff instead of just an alloy upgrade from stock? Not that big pricedifference and ypu get an adjustable diff that you could lock within 0-90% range.

I'd add a 4474 - upper arms. This will help with the arms twisting into the spur gear.

Also if you are still using the lower plastic arms you can replace the threaded turnbuckles from # 6100/3 (stock 32mm) to a #6100/4 (39mm) This will let you screw into the plastic ball ends and arms more which makes it harder for it to strip out.

hey waqr, i would agree with the adj diff, up lift in cost is about £20. would it make much of a differance.??

Selwa, i see what you are saying. in using the alloy upper arms it would stuffen up and stop the twisting,

i still want to have plastic lower wishbones as there needs to be something to break if i have a crash.
will using the Alloy upper arms effect things if i crash?? as will it break more if i use them??

thanks.
