Ok, so i am at the point of my build where I want to start thinking about installing LED's on my MT5.

I went to Hobby tek website and they have LEDs which are made by FG which mount on the top of the roll bar. Does any1 have these LED lights or does any1 know if they are good and worth getting??

Is there any other LED lights which I can put on my MT which will look good??

Finally,....Is there any other website other than Hobby tek which sells the FG lights???

PLEASEEEEE HELP!!!!

thanks for the great pix. Can you please take a picture of the underside of the cover to show how you wired and installed the lights?

Hi mikey....

have taken rollbar lights off at mo but i have just hot glued the wires to the body.....

Do you have a light controller unit to be able to turn ON and OFF the lights from your remote?

or are the lights constantly turned on when you turn on the power?


By the way, I like how you put the tape on the inside of your body to protect the paint. Nice job.. What type of tape did you use?

No worries mate.

The unit can plug into a spare channel and be able tobe turned on or off but i just plug them in when i want to.

The tape is a fibre tape and very strong, i used to cover the whole shell when i was racing on road cars and this made the bodys very strong and last for a long time.
 
Alot of people are now using RAMTEch LED lights for thier FG roof rack. I know Scott from LargeScaleRC was running them on his FG at Diggers Dungeon, but I'm not sure how he mounted them.

Hey can you post a link where to get the ramtech LED lights ?
