Has any1 put FG Slicks on their monster trucks?


What other tires are good other than FG brand because for the most part, all i see is people riding with the stock FG tractor tires.

I know HPI Baja has alot of difference tires but i don't know if they will look good and function good on a MT5.

Any advice?
 
I am also very interested to know about this.

I would like to change the tractor tyres to somthing else for more grip as I get severe wheelspin on any surface. I would like to change but keep it to the same hub squares instead of going the HPI hex style adaptors.
 
just checked out the link, thanks for sharing, jeez there not cheap! But nothing in this sport ever is :)

i wonder if they have the same diameter as the MT sytle tyres and wheels.
 
they are the FG stadium tires. They are a tad smaller. I have a set on my Marder. I even thought about buying them as a second set. I have a set in white.

But thats exactly my point. I want something DIFFERENT than the Tractor tires or the stadium tires. HPI baja has SOOO MANY Different tire options, it makes it difficult to even pick out a tire. Why is the choices so limited with FG?

Has any1 used the Wheel adaptors for the FG to run Baja tires? What are the negative / positive points to those wheel adaptors?

Why is the choice so limited on FG??? Such a popular vehicle ud think there would be almost as much as the HPI!!!
 
For me on my mt I wanna keep the big tire look so I just bought adapters and redcat MT wheels and tires. Some times I think I should have kept my hpi adapters for my marder. Whose knows maybe ill buy them again down the line. I liked having all the options. The size of the Baja tires fit the marder good.
 
Rossco found this for me from Oversize RC here in Melbourne. Going to give them a try shortly. Very cheap. $79 a pair including rims.
